The Advantages:
We come to your site!
You can reduce the cost of milling by providing equipment and manpower to assist in loading & unloading logs & lumber
Our Computerized Wood-mizer saw mill can mill logs up to 20 feet+ long and from 10” to 36” in diameter.
This band saw blade is only 1/16th in thickness. Giving you accurate smooth lumber up to 30% more than a circular saw blade mill can offer.
You also save the fees for hauling the logs to a mill or lumber back to your job site.
You receive all the lumber sawn from your logs as you monitor your cut lists for your project.
We can do hand moving of logs at mill site when forklift or loader is not available or accessible.
We refer a license contract timber faller who does our hazardous tree removal when needed.
We stack all lumber and cap cuts and sawdust next to the mill.
All chainsaw work required to trim logs to fit the mill when needed is billed at our hourly rate.
We leave all cap cuts whole, or cut at our hourly rate firewood for your personal use or resale upon your request
All site clean up is done after milling of each log for safety
We work at $0.35- $0.45 a board foot depending on the log and job site condition when milling job is over10,000 board feet.
All normal blade wear is included in our hourly charges
*Please note: Any log under 8ft. long & any log over 28” in diameter or under 10” takes a little longer to manipulate on our mill,
We will consider some very small or very large log manipulation projects, by an hourly rate only!
Your Responsibilities for log preparation must be completed before we arrive with the saw mill:
The logs need to be in one central location or there is an hourly fee for each time the saw mill is moved.
The logs need to be cut to the desired length with a minimum of 8’ maximum of 20'6", all limbs cut flush to bark, “No 45 degree cuts”
The pile of logs needs to be centered with all the trunk butt ends to one side to roll them onto our sawmill's hydraulic fork loader
There is a Fee of $20.00 for each ruined blade. Removal of dirt & debris from logs saves you the cost of damaged blades
*Log owner is responsible for blade damage caused by foreign objects (nails, bolts, wire, rocks, bullets, dirt, paint, etc.) in logs.
To reduce blade damage it is recommended that you use a metal detector on urban or farm trees.
